The origins of Bloc Solutions

Once upon a time, there was an ambitious young man, straight out of his Bachelor’s degree in Administration at Université Laval. His name: François-Xavier Ratté (our CEO). In the family basement, surrounded by a small team of developers, he created the first version of Bloc Solutions. Then he met Mathieu Loiselle (our VP Sales and Marketing) in a coworking space in Quebec City. Mathieu was then working on another project: the Caribook company, which he and his partners later sold.

And you know what? This isn’t Mathieu’s first time at Dans l’oeil du dragon. In June 2018, the Dragons turned down his offer for his Caribook business.

‘‘With my previous experience, my partner and I are ready to make an offer that the Dragons can’t refuse this time! It goes without saying that with the success of my previous business, the Dragons can only be excited about the Bloc Solutions platform!’’- Mathieu Loiselle

And yes, because adopting our platform is a bit like saying no to the stone age — or rather the paper age — and entering a whole new era!

Bloc Solutions and Covid 19

The Covid 19 crisis has created a great deal of disarray in the residential real estate sector. In an industry where the signing of leases and schedules is still mostly done face-to-face and on paper, property owners and managers have been looking for digital solutions to get out of trouble, especially at the dawn of the moving season.
